DESCRIPTION:Join us the third Wednesday of the month for Out Loud! There will be an open mic for all wishing to participate\, where speakers will be able to have 5 minutes to share their work or a cover poem of their choosing. Then we will have a 30-minute workshop and coloring party with Cara Stein.\n\nA note from Cara Stein:\n\n"I think it was around fourth grade that I stopped wanting to be a princess or a ballerina and decided I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. I've always loved books\, and after career detours through computer science and teaching\, I'm finally working with books! I'm a full-time book designer and editor. I've also published four books of my own. I'll talk about self-publishing\, including my latest adventure: a coloring book for grownups called Relax and Color. Many people want to publish their books\, so I'll walk you through the process from getting the idea through creating the book\, putting it together\, getting it printed (without having to buy 3000 copies and store them in your garage!)\, getting it on Amazon and other sites\, and selling it. I love talking about publishing\, so ask me anything! And after that\, we can have a coloring party. I'll bring sample pages\, colored pencils\, and markers to share\, or bring your favorite coloring materials. See you there!"\n\n\n\nOut Loud! is dedicated to fostering new voices and encouraging participation\, so even if you have never been to an open mic before\, please come on down and hear some new interesting voices and share.
