DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Preview Party of John James Audubon's The Birds of America: Audubon Aquatints from the Kathy & Michael Mouron Collection. View this impressive collection before it opens to the public. Enjoy passed canap s and cocktails by Chef Narvell\, a string trio from the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra\, and the company of the collectors themselves. \n\n \n\nThis exhibition presents 24 of the 435 prints comprising the best known work of 19th century American naturalist\, John James Audubon (1785-1851). The execution of this series captivated Audubon's imagination for over 25 years\, with the actual engraving of the images taking place from 1826 to 1838. The works that will be on view at the Huntsville Museum of Art are from the private collection of Kathy and Michael Mouron of Birmingham\, and are being shown publicly in the region for the first time.
