DESCRIPTION:The Huntsville Museum of Art is distinguished to be the only museum outside of New York to present the exhibit Folk Couture: Fashion and Folk Art. Thirteen established and emerging designers including Catherine Malandrino and Fabio Costa\, Project Runway Season 10 and Project Runway All Stars Season 4\, were asked to create a fashion piece of original couture inspired by one or more works from the museum's collection.\n\n\n\nThe HMA Guild is proud to host Folk Fusion: Where Fashion Meets Folk Art\, A Grand Opening Cocktail Event to launch this extraordinary exhibit. Enjoy the amazing Folk Couture exhibit\, sway to the sounds of The Sweeplings\, congratulate the winning designer and local celebrity of Fashion Fusion Face-off\, savor delicious food and drink\, and bid at our premium silent auction -- all in one fabulous night of folk art and couture fashion!
