Enjoy the music of global faiths.\n	6 p.m.   Keynote Address featuring Bryan Stevenson   "Just Mercy"\n\nBryan Stevenson is executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative\, located in Montgomery\, AL. He has won national acclaim for his work challenging bias against the poor and people of color in the criminal justice system. Since graduating from Harvard Law School and the Harvard School of Government\, he has assisted in securing relief for dozens of condemned prisoners\, advocated for poor people\, and developed community-based reform litigation aimed at improving the administration of criminal justice. He also is on the law faculty at New York University School of Law. His new book\, Just Mercy\, became available in October 2014.\n\n\n\nAdditional Speakers\n\n\n\nRev. Jim Wallis is a New York Times bestselling author\, public theologian\, speaker\, and international commentator on ethics and public life. He recently served on the White House Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and currently serves as the vice chair of the Global Agenda Council on Values. He is the author of 10 books. His latest\, On God's Side: What Religion Forgets and Politics Hasn't Learned About Serving the Common Good (Brazos Press)\, was released in April 2013.\n\nHe is president and founder of Sojourners\, where he is also editor-in-chief of Sojourners magazine. His columns appear in major newspapers\, and he frequently appears on radio and television as a commentator. He has taught at Harvard University and currently teaches a course on Faith\, Social Justice\, and Public Life at Georgetown University.\n\n\n\nRabbi Rami Shapiro was challenged by Joshu Sasaki Roshi to be a zen rabbi in 1973\, ordained as a Reform rabbi in 1981\, earned a doctorate in religious studies in 1985\, welcomed as a rebbe by Reb Zalman Schachter Shalomi in 2000\, labeled a Holy Rascal by Sister Jose Hobday in 2003\, made a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in 2010\, and initiated into the Ramakrishna Order of Vedanta Hinduism in 2011. Rabbi Rami is a world renowned lecturer and author\, who has been bringing the perennial wisdom of the world's religions to spiritual seekers of every faith and none for more than forty years.\n\n\n\nOther distinguished presenters include: Kimble Forrister\, Executive Director of Alabama Arise in Montgomery\, Alabama and Scott Douglas\, Executive Director of the Greater Birmingham Ministries.
