SUMMARY:MEMBER EVENT: 5-Day Course on Space Mission Engineering - The New SMAD
DESCRIPTION:The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Greater Huntsville Section is helping to Co-Organize a course entitled Space Mission Engineering: The New SMAD.\n\n\n\nSMAD stands for Space Mission Analysis and Design\, a book many of us have used in school and industry. This course covers material in the latest edition of the book along with material taught by Dr. James Wertz for more than 20 years. The course is the most comprehensive space mission analysis course available and has been both updated and modified to provide material not available anywhere else updates on space engineering\, the evolution of spacecraft and spacecraft subsystems\, the Earth viewed from a spacecraft\, the avoidance of orbital debris\, and Responsive Space. \n \n\nWith our numerous space and missile influences\, we believe that Huntsville is a great location for this course. If this is something you're interested in\, please consider registering for this course.\n\n \n\nThe course will be a week-long\, full-day course occurring March 6-10. The course will be taught at the Educator Training Facility located adjacent to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
