DESCRIPTION:From Solo to CEO is a special luncheon celebrating the journey of entrepreneurs who have grown from one-person operations into thriving businesses. This Women's Business Council event helps us kick off National Small Business Week and will feature Jenny Askins\, founder of Touronimo.\n\n\n\nJenny asks\, "What if getting what you want isn't the hard part\, but becoming the person who can carry it is?" If you've ever wanted something big and then felt overwhelmed by how heavy it was once you had it\, this message is for you. She will reflect on her own journey   including an early vision board   and share what actually helped her keep going.\n\n \nSPEAKER\n\n\n\n\nJenny Askins\, founder\n\nTouronimo\n\n\n\nJenny Askins is the founder of Touronimo Destination Management Company and a connector at heart who loves bringing people together. She serves on the boards of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber and Good Culture\, which provides emergency grants to hospitality workers in need. Askins is a Leadership Greater Huntsville alum and previously served as the Leadership Flagship Program Director and Alumni Director.\n\n\n\nBefore founding Touronimo\, Askins was one of the first employees hired by the owners of the Rocket City Trash Pandas\, helping build excitement around bringing baseball back to north Alabama through community events like the groundbreaking\, the Name the Team contest\, and the unveiling of the team name and merchandise. She also co-founded PorchFest Five Points Huntsville in 2021\, which celebrates its fifth year this year\, because building things for the community is what lights her up.
