She is a veteran businesswoman and has built on her previous experiences and relationships to help the organization continue to find new ways to advocate for the business community and communicate BCA's priorities. During lunch\, Duncan will share about herself\, her professional journey\, and tell more about the BCA. \n\n\n\nInvite your co-workers and friends to enjoy an empowering lunch that will leave you motivated in both your personal and professional life! \n\n \nABOUT THE SPEAKER\n\n\n\n\nHelena Duncan \n\n\n\nHelena Duncan came to BCA in 2020 with over 30 years of experience in the financial industry\, primarily at the executive management level. Prior to her role with BCA\, she served as regional president for Liberty Bank & Trust. Duncan joined BCA as director of Strategic Operations and Growth\, and prior to assuming the role of president & CEO\, she was the senior vice president of Operations and Investor Relations. Duncan is the first African American president of BCA.\n\n\n\nAs BCA president\, she has implemented the strategic plan and made it a priority to refine and refocus BCA's efforts on energetic\, effective advocacy in Montgomery and at the federal level. Duncan was named a Yellowhammer "2022 Woman of Impact" for her influential role and contribution to business and the community across Alabama. She has served as Board chair for Saint James School\, and as Board member for the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and Child Protect. Duncan currently serves as a Board member for Dixie Electric Cooperative\, the YMCA\, the Montgomery Committee of 100\, the Board of Controls Committee of 100\, and Synovus Bank.
