DESCRIPTION:The Chamber's C-Suite Speaker Series brings CEOs\, CFOs\, COOs and other C-Suite level executives from leading companies/organizations to the podium to share their experiences with success and failure as they made their journey to the C-Suite. These programs build awareness\, foster understanding and spark conversation among attendee's as they network with these key decision makers in the community.\n\n \n\nSpeaker:\n\n \n\nStephanie Mell\n\n\n\nStephanie and her husband\, Matt\, own and operate ChurchStreet Family Hospitality Group\, a now eight-business-strong collection of restaurants and bars in Huntsville\, Ala.\n\n     Before Stephanie began her career in hospitality\, she worked in the fashion industry for two decades. A graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology\, she worked in New York City and Los Angeles. She and Matt chose to return home to Alabama and together follow their passion for wine by opening a wine shoppe\, starting ChurchStreet Wine Shoppe in the fall of 2014.\n\n     They now operate eight concepts with Stephanie as proprietor\, COO\, and CMO of the ChurchStreet Family Hospitality. She oversees all aspects of operations\; including managing north Alabama's very first sit-down food & wine tasting club\, with close to 700-members and growing. Stephanie also operates the distribution center encompassing purchasing and inventory of all non-consumables\, creation of SOP's and training manuals\, implementation of technology\, systems & reporting. In addition\, she oversees all marketing\, including digital and print media\, charity & community relations\, and catering and event coordination\, as well as the concept design of each location.\n\n     Stephanie sits on the Board of Directors for Downtown Huntsville\, Inc.\, and was the first female to chair the Board. She is a graduate of Huntsville/Madison Leadership L-30 program and a member of Leadership Alabama Class XXXI. She was a finalist for restaurateur of the year in Alabama in 2020 and 2021 and won the Red Ribbon Award for Food & Beverage in 2018 and from the Hospitality Association in 2020. Stephanie is a member of the Huntsville Women's Guild for Huntsville Museum of Art\, and a founding member of the International Women's Forum\, Alabama Chapter.\n\n     "It is my goal to support small business and help to develop our community by working to make Huntsville a food and beverage destination in Alabama."
