This course will provide you with everything you need to know to connect you with resources\, programs\, and people that can support your business. The goal of this course is to help you to successfully recruit\, hire\, and retain candidates with disabilities.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Our Speaker\n\n\n\nCassie Shropshire\n\nAlabama Department of Rehabilitation Services\n\n\n\nCassie Shropshire is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama. She has been employed with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS) for seven years. She has worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and currently works as business relations consultant with the agency. As a business relations consultant for ADRS\, Shropshire serves as a bridge for employers\, helping connect them with qualified applicants with disabilities. She has partnered with many businesses to help afford job seekers with disabilities with training\, employment opportunities\, and workplace accommodations. Shropshire also provides disability-related trainings to employers to help make the workplace more inclusive.\n\n \n\nShe is a member of the National Rehabilitation Association and the Alabama Rehabilitation Association. Shropshire sits on the national board for the Job Placement and Development (JPD) division and is also the president for the Alabama Chapter of JPD.\n\n \n\nShropshire is a proud graduate from Alabama A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling.
