REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.\n\n\n\nJoin us as we celebrate the 2018 Woman-Owned Business award winner Jami Peyton\, CEO of Canvas\, as she provides a snapshot of her business journey - through personal opinions\, insights\, and inspirations.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n   Jami Peyton\n\n   CEO of Canvas\, Inc.\n\n \n\n\n\nJami founded Canvas in 2007\, and it has progressively grown into one of Huntsville's award-winning technology firms that offers a big picture approach to problem solving. Canvas specializes in providing engineering and testing services for missile systems. As Canvas' CEO responsible for strategic vision and direction\, Jami identifies opportunities for growth\, diversification\, and development of products to support services. In 2015\, she managed the acquisition of their wholly owned subsidiary known today as Canvas Management Associates\, and in 2016\, she established a software firm called Lojix that delivers products designed to turn tedious\, repetitive\, and laborious tasks into streamlined automated processes that save organizations time (and money). Prior to Canvas\, Jami gained experience in the workforce providing cost estimating and business process re-engineering analysis for Defense and Federal Agencies.\n\n\n\nAs a Huntsville native\, Jami is passionate about the growth and development of her community where she regularly volunteers and serves on boards supporting entrepreneurs\, economic development\, women in business\, and our veterans. Jami is most passionate about helping kids in our community that need it most. She has served in a leadership role for the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Alabama for the past three years demonstrating her belief that investments in our children drive social and economic returns. In her spare time\, she enjoys jogging\, family time\, and refurbishing historic homes and antiques.
