DESCRIPTION:From January 1\, 2005\, to October 3\, 2017\, more than 1 billion personal records have been exposed from nearly 8\,000 online breaches. In 2014\, there were 780 data security breaches\, and in 2016 we've seen that number increase by 40 percent.\n\n \n\nThe number of data breaches and threats to businesses of all sizes is increasing by the day.\n\n \n\nPlease join us for an informative program presented by the Huntsville Police Department's Financial and Cyber Crimes Unit at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. This workshop will present concepts and ideas to strengthen you and your employees' knowledge to secure business information online. These include:\n\n	Shifting the business mindset to security awareness\n	Defining basic security concepts\n	Social Media and Personal Identifiable Information (PII)\n	Overview of malicious attackers (hackers) techniques for gathering information\n	Checklist of things to do to protect identity and business online\n	Law Enforcements response to digital crimes               \n\nYou'll also have a chance to ask your own questions.\n\n \n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker:\n\nInvestigator Bradley Adams graduated from the Huntsville Police Academy in 2005 and is currently on special assignment to Police Administration as Information Security Governance Liaison. Bradley is a former member of the Financial & Cyber Crimes Unit. With 22 years' experience in Information Technology and Law Enforcement\, Bradley has degrees in both Computer Network Engineering and Business Network Management. Bradley holds several certifications and certificates to include the FBI Computer Forensics Lab\, Alabama Security Exchange Commission\, National White Collar Crime Center\, Comptia\, Microsoft\, and Cisco.
