Summit 7 Recognized for Knowledge Management Expertise Amongst IBM and Google

KMWorld recently released their “100 Companies That Matter in Knowledge Management” list for 2019, and Summit 7 Systems (Summit 7) was selected for the sixth time amongst Microsoft, Deloitte, Google, IBM, and others. Each year KMWorld releases this unique list to highlight companies who demonstrate a commitment to solving the toughest challenges in knowledge management (KM) and best contribute to the overall community. Less than a dozen small businesses were included in this year’s list, including Summit 7.

Summit 7 met the criteria in 2019 for its services and solutions centered around the KM requirements of the Aerospace and Defense industry. The nationally recognized  Microsoft Partner company is the only listed company addressing security and KM concerns relating to DFARS 7012, NIST 800-171, and ITAR regulations. Additionally, Summit 7 was chosen as the lone Alabama company.

“Being selected for the sixth time is an honor and testament to the talent of our team. We are privileged to help in securing the DoD supply chain and protecting the Government’s collective knowledge base, a task we do not take lightly. Information security and knowledge management are woven into each solution that we build and service we provide. We are ever vigilant of knowledge management risk because there is downstream impacts on the safety of soldiers, their families, and the nation.” says President and Managing Partner, Scott Edwards.

Summit 7 Systems (S7) is a Microsoft Gold Partner and cloud focused company supporting over 100 federal contractors. S7 helps contractors generate the most ROI out of their Microsoft investment and protect their data and the Government’s data. The company’s greatest efforts are currently helping businesses configure their cloud environments to NIST 800-171 and meet DFARS 7012.

KMWorld is the leading magazine and website for news and information regarding knowledge management, content management, and document management. In making selections for the list, KMWorld “consider(s) how companies have succeeded in helping customers solve business problems, and [they] review product updates to make sure that capabilities are advancing to address evolving requirements” according to the publication. “The 2019 KMWorld 100 list spans a wide variety of companies that are each addressing the evolving demands of knowledge management.”
