Moving Turkeys: TWO MEN AND A TRUCK's 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive a Success!
Dozens of families in need will be provided a Thanksgiving meal this year through a local business’ efforts! TWO MEN AND A TRUCK organized their 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Downtown Rescue Mission. Three hundred boxes were placed on doorsteps of homes in the Clift’s Cove neighborhood with an attached wish-list of food items (including frozen turkeys) for residents to fill.
After filling the boxes for a one week period, residents placed the filled boxes on their doorsteps for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK crew to pick up Friday, November 22. Joe Hollingsworth, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Franchise Owner, values utilizing his resources to help those in our community. “These donations feed families who cannot provide for themselves this Thanksgiving. It is an honor to facilitate a community effort that will directly impact our neighbors,” Hollingsworth said.
Over 60 boxes were filled this year by Clift's Cove Residents, breaking the campaign's previous box collection record of 50 boxes. The six man moving crew delivered the Thanksgiving haul to the Downtown Rescue Mission shortly around lunchtime Friday.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK began its Thanksgiving Food Drive with the drop off and pick up service in hopes to help encourage those in the community to give during this time of Thanksgiving to our neighbors in need.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK strives to give back to the Huntsville community year round, especially during the holiday season. A portion of all of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK's proceeds go directly to local charities such as Kids to Love, Veterans of North Alabama Services Assistance Program, Inc., Toys for Tots, and many others.
