Huntsville Recovery, Inc. adds new substance abuse treatment program and outpatient detoxification

Huntsville, AL— Huntsville Recovery, Inc. has announced that it has added an intensive outpatient program for substance abuse and is currently accepting patients. An outpatient (ambulatory) detoxification program will also be added soon, but an official launch date has not been finalized. These new programs will accept self-pay, insurance, and Medicaid. Also, financial assistance may be available for qualified applicants. The facility currently provides substance abuse counseling and medication-assisted treatment for over 850 people with opioid dependence.

According to Chief Operating Officer Danah White, “The expansion of Huntsville Recovery’s services means that we will be able to treat substance abuse issues of all kinds, not just opioids, while providing an affordable alternative to costly inpatient rehabilitation. Also, our medically monitored outpatient detoxification program will provide up to nine hours of counseling for patients so that they can make informed choices about their substance abuse treatment options based on their individual needs.”

White says that Huntsville Recovery will also refer people to other community providers to ensure that they receive the proper level of care for their issues. “At Huntsville Recovery we strongly believe in helping people find solutions that are right for them. Even if it’s not with us, we want people who need help to get treatment because treatment changes lives for the better.”

Due to the opioid crisis, which is killing approximately 150 Americans each day, Huntsville Recovery has seen its patient population expand dramatically over the last several years. In Madison county, substance abuse treatment options are limited, so Huntsville Recovery decided to expand its scope of services. This will allow the facility to meet the needs of the community by providing evidence-based addiction treatment that also accepts people who are prescribed medication to manage addiction.

Huntsville Recovery, Inc. employs a team of licensed and credentialed doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and counselors that meet or exceed the professional qualifications mandated by the Alabama Department of Mental Health. Huntsville Recovery believes in treating each patient with respect and dignity while providing the very best in individualized care.
