MEMBER EVENT: NAITA Trade Compliance Roundtable
Export control rules have changed dramatically over the past couple of years as part of Export Control Reform (ECR), and they are continuing to change. Oldies music and retro fashion might be cool, but nobody can afford to have a compliance program that is stuck in the past. An outdated compliance program is a ticket to not knowing when you are committing violations, as well as wasting precious resources doing things you no longer have to do.
Join NAITA, Presenting Sponsor Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, and John Black from the Export Compliance Training Institute for an informative update and engaging discussion on new rules, a look at new compliance challenges, and some tips for best practices for your export compliance program. John Black will bring his 31+ years of export control focused experience to bear to show what you need to know and put you in a position to do a health check on the status of your compliance program and your understanding of the new rules.
You won’t want to miss this lively discussion of hot topics in the export compliance arena and the importance of keeping your export compliance program up to date. This roundtable training and discussion will focus on these key issues:
- Did You Know Most Military and Space Items Are No Longer ITAR Controlled?
- New Defense Service Challenges
- Evolving U.S. Export Controls on Critical Countries
- Best Practices for Your Internal Export Compliance Procedures
- Wrap Up Open Forum: Questions, Answers and Discussion
