Join us for a Public, Docent-led Tour of "What's Up, Doc? The Animation Art of Chuck Jones", where our docents will further explore this exhibition during its final day on display at HMA. Docent-led tours are included with the cost of admission for non-members, and are free to members of the museum.

Animation director and artist Charles Martin “Chuck” Jones brought an unparalleled talent for comic invention and a flair for creating distinct, memorable characters to the art of film animation. “What’s Up, Doc? The Animation Art of Chuck Jones” is a new Smithsonian traveling exhibition that reveals the creative genius behind some of the most enduringly popular cartoons and animated films of all time. The exhibition is a partnership between the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, and the Museum of the Moving Image. Explore the creative genius, influences and legacy of animation director and artist Chuck Jones through 23 animated films and more than 125 original sketches and drawings, storyboards, production backgrounds, animation cels, and photographs.
